Shh

"Shh" is painted with Daniel Smith's transparent watercolors on 300 gsm watercolor paper. I was inspired to paint this little mysterious girl as it tells a story. She is either playing hide and seek or telling someone to be quiet.
Watercolor is a difficult medium and we have often heard that it is also an unforgiving medium. It is easy to be tight and very hard to get loose even though getting loose in watercolor sounds or looks easy. In this particular painting, I have used soft and hard edges, cool and warm tones and have also tried to show the fluidity of watercolor by letting the paint run down.
