Reflections, Brancaster Staithe

I have painted these two scruffy fishing boats either on their own or together a number of times but on this occasion as the tide was fast receding, I painted them from previous reference paintings and my photos etc. back in the studio. I also wanted to do a larger painting. I was drawn to the reflections of the boats in the still muddy water and the subtle colours of the marsh, mud and sky.
