This is my second oil painting.
When I first saw the reference photo, for some reason my heart felt warm and fuzzy.
It also reminded me of the time when I was 10 that I was split up from my older brother because of our parents' divorce. Because of some traumatic experiences, I don't really remember much from before I was 10.
But when I saw the photo, it reminded me of just how much I loved my older brother. (When I was young, he was the first person I ever thought I wanted to marry!)
We were inseparable and loved going on adventures. I don’t remember anything in great detail...but, something about this girl's expression reminded me of how I must have looked then... a young girl running around chasing after her active brother, and I just had to put it into a painting.
