Friendsheeps (2021), oil on canvas
Friendship is the hardest thing in the world to explain. It’s not something you learn in school.
When I was very young I used to think that friends were the people that you could laugh, gossiping and talk to. Now I know that friends aren’t they, they’re the people that touch your hearts. They’re the people you can share your secrets with, cry with, or just have fun with. They accept you exactly as you are, they believe in you, callenge you, inspire and encourage you. They will convince you that, you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
Like Mark Twain said: Keep away from those who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you believe that you too can become great.”
It’s interesting in friendship how different we are, our style, how we see a lot of things, but despite our differences, things still work wonderfully and we can learn a lot from each other.
…but everybody isn’t your friend. Just beacuse they hang around you and laugh with you doesn’t mean they are your friend. People pretend well. At the end of the day, real situations expose fake friends, who are like shadows. They follow you in the sun but leave you in the dark.
Be wise and careful!
Appreciate the real ones!
