Iris

This artwork has been made with charcoal and graphite on watercolor hot pressed paper.

In my work the human experience of existence is central, and I want to promote the perception of Life’s presence, ineffable and precious.
The inspiration is given by the transition phase between winter and spring, and how human beings can tune to the cycles of nature, and to pure existence through that. Darkness is leaving us and a promise of warmer days is waiting for us in the future, as soft and beautiful as an iris flower.
